Nabarro Hires James Duckworth For Its Sheffield Office |
| Nabarro has beefed up its Sheffield construction practice with a partner hire from a local firm.
James Duckworth joins the Sheffield arm of Nabarro from Hull law firm Andrew Jackson, where he was head of construction. Before joining Andrew Jackson in 2004, Duckworth had worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Hammonds.
Duckworth specialises in large-scale property development and private finance initiatives.
His hire takes Nabarro’s Sheffield construction group to three partners and seven associates and the office partnership as a whole to 23.
Nabarro senior partner Simon Johnston said: “[Duckworth] makes an excellent addition to the Sheffield practice, where our construction department has been going from strength to strength. His appointment will have consequential benefits for other parts of the office and firm, particularly the real estate and planning practices.”
He added: “The expansion of Sheffield shows our confidence in the office and is an important investment for the firm’s future.”
In addition to the Sheffield hire, Nabarro has also hired Julie Quinn as a partner in its London employment practice. Quinn was previously a partner with Allen & Overy in London.
